Youth & Winter Farmers Market Outreach Coordinator - Chicago - Faith In Place

The Outreach Coordinator will organize Faith in Place’s Summer Eco-Ambassador Youth Programs. Each summer, Faith in Place provides environmental education for youth (ages range from 14-18). These Eco-Ambassadors learn about ecology, the impact they have on the environment, and become true Ambassadors for positive environmental behaviors in their communities. The Outreach Coordinator works closely with clergy and community leaders from the south and west sides of Chicago to identify 12 youth between the ages of 14-18 to participate. These youth are active in their faith communities, and have been nominated by adults in their life because of their leadership role within the community. This Outreach Coordinator will split their time between the two roles, focusing on the Winter Farmers Markets from September – April and the Eco-Ambassador Program from May – August each year. The organizer will work manage support staff and work collaboratively with a team to support all efforts related to the Winter Farmers Market and Eco-Ambassador Youth programs.

Development Director - Faith in Place

Faith in Place’s Development Director is responsible for managing and growing all revenue streams for Faith in Place. These include donations from foundations, corporations, individuals, and houses of worship. Responsibilities include prospecting, writing, and reporting on all things related to the grant systems, assisting the Executive Director on overall budgeting and planning efforts, coordinating all activities with Board members and volunteers, cultivating individual and faith partner gifts, and managing development support staff. The Development Director will work closely with the Executive Director to implement Faith in Place’s five-year Strategic Plan that includes forming a full Development Team, adding additional personnel to eventually lead grant, corporation, and large-gift cultivation

Volunteer Manager - Alliance for the Great Lakes

The Volunteer Manager develops and implements volunteer initiatives that support a healthy and vibrant Great Lakes, addresses community needs and delivers locally relevant results.  The Manager develops and executes volunteer activities in partnership with colleagues and community leaders, as part of the Alliance’s Culture of Clean Water Team.  The position draws on varied audiences to build and deepen the Alliance’s volunteer network of over 15,000 individuals, businesses, and non-profit partners invested in keeping the Great Lakes healthy for the 40 million people that depend on the lakes for recreation, drinking, and regional economies.  The position manages the Chicago Young Professional Council, the Chicago Alliance Ambassador program and the year-round Adopt-a-Beach program that spans the eight states served by the Alliance.

The Vice-President of Program Delivery is a senior management role that will lead the technical development and delivery of green infrastructure program and project portfolios in Fresh Coast’s partner communities by working with National, Regional and Local delivery partners to design, build, operate and maintain sustainable assets.  This role will work to co-deliver projects and programs in close partnership with the VP of Community Partnerships. Additionally, this role will require an entrepreneurial drive and approach to scalability, deal development and structuring, with a lot of flexibility to define the path and future team strategy.

Sr. Energy Efficiency Progam Manager - Exelon

Assist in the development, delivery, and management of energy efficiency programs as part of the state utility commission approved energy efficiency portfolio to ensure cost recovery and minimize performance risk.  Manage the process of “Request for Proposals” and awarding of contracts to subcontractors and vendors delivering energy efficiency programs to utility customers. Coordinate with other utility departments providing program logistic support, Exelon Utilities, and stakeholders. Verify that products, services, and energy savings are delivered as required.  Monitor, track, and provide necessary program performance data for measurement and verification purposes. 
 
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
 

Education Associate - Plant Chicago

The Education Associate assists with all education programming at Plant Chicago, including Closed Loop Labs, Group & Public Tours of The Plant, classroom visits, and on/off site talks. The associate also serves as the lead for scheduling and coordinating payment for Plant Chicago education programs. The associate compiles feedback from teachers and Plant Chicago’s Education Advisory Committee to make existing curriculum stronger; while working closely with the Education Manager and Farm Tech Coordinator to create new lessons based in circular economy principles.
