Energy Equity Program Manager - California Environmental Justice Alliance

The fiscal sponsor for the California Environmental Justice Alliance is the Environmental Health Coalition (EHC), a member of CEJA. The Energy Equity Program Manager will be an employee of EHC. The Program Manager will report to the Statewide Organizing Director of CEJA. The position will be based in CEJA’s offices in Oakland, Los Angeles, or Sacramento.

The Energy Equity Program Manager will be responsible for working with our Energy Equity Committee; developing, implementing, and managing the Energy Equity program plan; and providing leadership and strategic vision for the Energy Equity Program. 

Energy Equity Committee Management and Community Engagement:

  • Act as the lead of the energy program and responsible for overall management of energy committee.
  • Work with Committee to create and implement overall strategy for achieving energy goals.
  • Monitor annual work plan and ensure work is moving forward smoothly.
  • Plan and facilitate bi-weekly energy committee calls.
  • Plan and facilitate program strategy sessions and other meetings as needed.
  • Keep Energy Equity Committee members up to date on program development and activities.
  • Coordinate with staff at member organizations to recruit and organize participants in CEJA activities as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies and curriculum to engage community members, such as community trainings.

Community Outreach Coordinator - The Nature Conservancy

The Community Outreach Coordinator will serve as an ambassador of the Conservancy and will build upon community engagement efforts to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones with key leaders, organizations and partners in Markham and the surrounding southland communities. This position will be under the joint direction of the Project Manager for Indian Boundary Prairies and the Director for Urban Stewardship and Engagement and will be based at the Conservancy’s Indian Boundary Prairies preserve office in Markham, Illinois. 

As part of our urban conservation team, the Community Outreach Coordinator will have an opportunity to learn about natural areas restoration work and connecting people to nature in the Chicago region.  This position will serve as a liaison to the local community and will build upon community engagement efforts at Indian Boundary Prairies to strengthen existing relationships and create new ones with key leaders, organizations and partners in Markham and in the surrounding southland communities. This includes leading the implementation of a community engagement plan through education and engagement activities in the prairies and in the southland region.


Communications and Outreach Coordinator - The Ecology Center (MI)

The Ecology Center is seeking a three-quarter to full-time Communications and Outreach Coordinator for its Charge Up Midwest Electric Vehicle and Clean Energy campaigns, which includes public outreach and decision-maker focused communications to advance climate and energy solutions throughout Michigan and the M


Duties and Responsibilities

The Coordinator position will work with the Ecology Center’s Climate and Energy Program Team to provide overall communications for the Charge Up Midwest campaign and other Clean Energy programs, including:

  • Content creation, management, and dissemination of earned and owned media—including website, newsletters, social media, media relations, brochures, branded collateral, and related materials;
  • Support the execution of the Ecology Center communications and development plans to create awareness, engagement, and revenue for the Climate/Energy programs;
  • Stay abreast of EV and Energy related news;
  • Seek, research, develop and pitch proactive news stories to enhance public awareness of the Ecology Center’s climate/energy priorities;
  • Deliver presentations and tabling at community events;
  • Assist with overall campaign strategy and tracking of campaign progress;
  • Assist with grant reporting, and ongoing fundraising; and
  • Participate in Ecology Center staff meetings, and other collective duties to be determined.


Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion - The Wilderness Society (DC)

The Director of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion & Special Advisor to the President is a highly visible leadership position at The Wilderness Society.  This director will be a key leader of our important organizational imperative to embed equity, diversity and inclusion throughout TWS policies, practices, mission-driven programs, and workplace culture.

The ideal candidate for this position is an experienced leader and strong project manager who can engage staff at all levels to achieve TWS’ equity, diversity and inclusion goals in an integrated way across TWS departments.  This position is responsible for driving organizational change related to this body of work.  The Director will work directly with the TWS President, Executive Team, directors, managers, and staff teams assigned to implement specific facets of the TWS equity, diversity and inclusion workplan.  The Director will engage regularly with TWS Board of Directors and support the work of the Board’s Equity Committee.
