The Forest Preserves of Cook County invites you to a free one-hour presentation followed by Q&A.

Alice Brandon from the Department of Resource Management will present how humans have been impacting the ecology of the Chicago Region for at least 8,000 years. This presentation will discuss how humans have shaped the forest preserves in terms of its: ecology, plants and animals through time, and what this means for today’s efforts to protect and restore the forest preserves for future generations.
